World Class Rough Shooting - Sweden

In the South of Sweden we are offering some of the best and most exclusive Walked Up hunting in Europe

The Hunting Area

Sweden is one of the best destinations for mixed bird hunting and high-volume Geese shooting in Europe. What makes Sweden unique is the huge amount of different bird species you can shoot combined with superb accommodation. The special landscape of South Sweden with the huge fields, hedges, forests and ponds and lakes makes it a rough shooting paradise. During the day we are hunting Geese, Partridge, Pheasant, Duck and Hare. Sweden is also one of the few places where Barnacle Geese can be hunted in Europe! They are not resident Geese they are real migrant Canada’s. Other species of Geese which can be hunted are Greylags and Greater White Fronted which can make for a real mixed bag when it comes to morning lights.

The Shooting

The walked up shooting days are a mix of different hunting methods. We are walking the fields with pointers, flushing hedges and ponds with spaniels, lining up sometimes for mini drives with 2-3 beaters to shoot driven pheasant and ducks or we are shooting Ducks at the evening flight. And we are always accompanied with some fantastic retrievers.

During the season we can have high numbers of geese on the fields. Since its a unpredictable hunt and we can´t guarantee it, we are having it as a add on to the existing program. Geese will be hunted in the early mornings over decoys on the fields where the hunters will be laying in lay blinds or hide in hedges. We shoot Canadian Geese, Gray Legged and Barnacle Geese. A really great experience for the passionate bird hunter.

Our areas offer also some great options to combine your bird shooting with big game stalking. Around the castle we are hunting roe deer, fallow deer and wild boar. In our neighbouring estates we can also hunt mouflon and red stag.

The Accommodation

Is an experience by itself. Hunters will be staying exclusively at an old castle that is situated in fantastic calm, beautiful surroundings framed by a lake. There are 10 double rooms in the castle with attached bathrooms, a charming whisky room that is the perfect place to have the whisky after the hunt. A big dining hall with an outdoor terrace. The meals that will be served are homemade with mainly products from the hunts. Come and enjoy the warm Swedish hospitality.

All our hunts are tailormade to your wishes and needs. Ask for an individual package.
